Prayer of HHPS III

Draw me away. Let me follow You wherever You go, even to Golgotha. It is not important for me to know where You will be leading me. The important thing is to follow You anywhere, even if You are taking me to the Golgotha, or to Gethsemane.

I will follow You even if there are persecutions and tribulations. If You lead me to the banks of the river, I will be there with You. If You take me to the Mount of Transfiguration I will be there. Where You are taking me is inconsequential.

I set neither limits nor conditions. It just suffices to be with You. Just, draw me away, we will run after You. When we run after You, we will experience joy and happiness in fellowship. The King has brought me into his chambers. We will be glad and rejoice in you.

This is the lot of all those who have opted to run after the Lord. Happiness and joy filled their lives. Amazing peace and incredible serenity permeated their existence. They are no longer touched by the worldly desires that beget misery, gloom, wretchedness and unhappiness.

Rather, they become glad and rejoice in the Lord by virtue of the love that binds them to the Lord. They rejoice in this kind of communion and no one can ever deprive them of such happiness, for His love is better than wine, we will remember your love more than wine.
